Dr. Sandy

Double board-certified bariatric surgeon and graduated with honors from Universidad Autonoma de Baja California, Dr. Sandy has been an example of excellence and professionalism throughout her career.

She won the National Award of Excellence – EGEL and has participated in several medical investigations at international research centers (CICESE).

Dr. Sandy has performed over 3500+ hours of advanced laparoscopic and bariatric training at internationally known bariatric institutes and has performed over 1500+ gastric sleeves, gastric by-pass, and duodenal switches, single incision gastric sleeve.

Dr. Sandy has also completed complex procedures (Hi BMI’s 90+, single incision sleeve gastrectomy, and duodenal switches, among others) that other surgeons would reject since she is sensitive to the ‘life change’ and influence of her job into other people’s lives. Dr. Sandy seeks to be an example to inspire people to go for the ‘healthy way and balanced life.’
